Our Story
The Meaning of a Name
Ask any brokerage in the GTA what they sell, and the answer is nearly always the same: homes. Square footage. Lots. Units.
Ask Rohin Aneja what he sells, and he'll pause. Then — quietly, without rehearsal — he'll tell you he sells trust.
That small difference is the reason Friends Realty exists.
Why “Friends”
The word was chosen on purpose. It wasn't a marketing decision. It was a promise — one most businesses quietly stop keeping the moment they grow past their first fifty clients.
A friend tells you the truth, even when the truth costs them a commission. A friend answers the phone on a Sunday evening. A friend sits in the driveway with you after a disappointing showing and says, honestly, let's wait — the right one will come.
That is the standard Friends Realty was built around — not a slogan on a sign, but the specific way this team has chosen to work.
A Small Beginning, a Clear Belief
Friends Realty began, as most good things do, with a conversation.
Rohin — Broker of Record, with years of GTA market experience under his belt — had watched the business drift. Faster transactions. Thinner relationships. Clients treated as closings rather than as households. He had seen first-time buyers sign papers they didn't understand, and investors nudged into developments that served the broker more than the family.
He wasn't interested in running that kind of firm.
So he didn't.
Friends Realty opened with a single office, a small team, and one operating principle: treat every client the way you'd treat someone you'll still know in twenty years. Because in a close-knit market like the GTA — you will.
The Team Today
The name isn't only about how we treat clients. It's about how we treat each other.
Friends Realty is now home to Brokers Param Gill and Aman Singh working alongside Rohin, a growing circle of Sales Representatives — Akshay, Ankita, Cheryl, Simer, Sharan, Sameer, A.P. — and the two offices that anchor our presence in the region: our Toronto head office and our Oakville branch.
Different backgrounds. Different neighbourhoods. One shared belief: that the people who walk through our door should leave as part of something larger than a transaction.
What We Mean When We Say Home
Home, in our corner of the world, means the house in Oakville where three generations gather at Diwali. It means the first condo at King & Spadina that signals an arriving adulthood. It means the bungalow in Mississauga a family has been saving seven years to buy.
We understand that. We grew up here. We still live here.
When you work with Friends Realty, the question is never how fast can we close. It's what are we protecting?
A promise. A family. A future.
An Invitation
If you're thinking about a home — your first, your next, or an investment that moves your family forward — talk to us.
No pressure. No hard pitch. Just a conversation with a friend who happens to know the market.
That was the idea all along.
